How to change font in windows Sticky Notes

This is very simple. You just need to change the registry key to change the fonts in Sticky Notes. I highly recommend that first back up your registry keys before applying changes to it. In case, If you make a mistake that results in your computer not starting properly, but you can restore the registry to previous state. See Restore the Registry.

If you are not sure and to be safe, export all or part of the registry. To export registry:
  1. Press Windows + R to open up the Run window. Type "regedit"

2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG  -> Software -> Fonts, then Export it.

3. In Save as type, select the file type you wish to use for the saved file (registration file, registry have file, text file, Windows 98/NT4.0 registration file)

NOTE:
  • Certain parts of the registry are reserved and are not accessible to Regedit.exe. The option to export or import “all” of the registry applies to all of the registry that is accessible to Regedit.exe.

Let's change the fonts:

  1. Open a Notepad.
  2. Paste the below lines on to it.
  3. Replace your preferred font with "Consolas.ttf" and "Consolasb.ttf".
  4. Click Save As in file menu, and save it on Documents or Desktop named as "StickyNotes_Font_Fix.reg". The extension should be .reg.
  5. That's it. Double click on the file to apply changes to the registry.
